Phillip & Ilse's Great Adventure

Whiterock Mountain, Arkansas

We camped here overnight. There was a fantastic lightening storm, the sky was lit up with almost non-stop flashes. It was awe inspiring. There was a tremendous wind and then quiet.

The next morning, fog surrounded the mountain obscuring the view of the surrounding hills. As the sun warmed and the mists withdrew, I took wildflowers framed a beautiful view of the rolling green forests.

The flattened tops of the mountains are banded with shear cliffs of white limestone that gleams in the sunlight from a distance

The mountain laurel bloomed on the sides of the cliffs.

Back in Kentucky, we camped at Taylorsville Lake State Park.

The drive back to Texas was direct and we didn't take any photos...
